Covid-19 has us worried for struggling Americans

It’s been a tough month all around the world.  Tensions are high as the news of Covid-19 and economic risk is updated in an unending stream. Like others, I think about my friends and family.  I also think and worry about most Americans who can’t sustain a financial shock.

For our families and EppoPay, it’s time to hunker down.  Though it’s hard to concentrate with the cacophony of news, it’s even more important.  Hunkering down for us means work - the hard work of building EppoPay. What does that mean? We’re tackling the details like building wireframes, use-cases, back-end tech, code, copy and communications.  Less talk, more work. We will continue to provide updates; but, they’ll be shorter and to the point (if you missed the last six updates,

Here’s the Update

Recent Accomplishments

  • We completed our first round of quantitative Consumer Research. The results were clear: Renters want payment smoothing! ✅ For those who love marketing, click here to see the details.

  • We sharpened our business model to be super-compelling for the lower-income landlords. We think rent-payment smoothing is good for all landlords and all income levels; we're starting where it matters most.

  • We finalized our Advisory Board 👏
    More to come about that.

  • The project plan count-down starts now. On track for Q2 launch - we’re sprinting to the finish line. 🏃‍♀️

What’s coming next

  • New Look & Feel.  The brand redo will be the basis for our web and app presence. Spoiler alert: It looks modern, friendly and green.

  • A full suite of marketing materials designed for landlords - specifically our early adopter partners.  We will have a beautiful package to help onboard landlords - making it easy to work with EppoPay.

  • Updating our investors with more specifics on a regular basis.

  • Soft launch of EppoPay!!!

I know you loved the Test Your Knowledge section.  Now it’s a one-question quiz. Pressure’s on!  😐

What percentage of NY City students receive free or reduced-price school lunch as of March 2020?

a. 37%

b. 72%

c. 54%

Many Governors hesitated to close schools as they considered the best way to slow the spread of Covid-19.  As I learned the risks of person-to-person spread, those draconian measures seemed appropriate. But, the unintended consequences of closing schools can’t be fully measured until perhaps it’s too late. I have enormous respect for our municipal leaders who have to make those difficult choices.
