We’re building stronger communities through payment innovation.
“I can pay, I just need more time.”
Residents across the country need a better way to pay bills. The rent payment is the most important payment a household will make in any given month, so why haven’t payment systems evolved to fit the ever-changing financial situations of residents?
We developed a new payment system based on flexibility and mutual respect. This new system aligns residents’ need for flexible, dignified, and accessible payments with properties’ need to collect on-time.
What Drives Us

We believe financial confidence is the secret ingredient to happy, healthy communities.

Mission
We’re building stronger communities through payment innovation.
circa
/ˈsəːkə/
giving space to time
Circa’s flexibility redefines the concept of “on time.” With rising rents and increasing income volatility, residents are in the best position to decide when they can make payment. Properties benefit from better clarity on cash flow, less hassle of chasing down residents, and improved resident relations.
Words matter
The terms "landlord" and "tenant" come from the feudal era, a time of a strictly hierarchical land ownership representative of imperialism and imbalance of wealth and power.
We work with “residents,” not “tenants.”
We work with “properties,” not “landlords.”
The shift in language
We’re moving away from terms based on the haves and have-nots to help re-build the resident-property relationship into one of cooperation and mutual respect.
