About David

David is excited to help property owners and residents struggling with housing affordability through our innovative flexible payment solution. He comes to Circa with 30+ years of experience in public equities where his roles have included analyst, portfolio manager, and institutional equity salesperson. He is active in multifamily real estate through Cove Investments. Cove targets smaller apartment buildings of 50-300 units where they believe they can improve operations through professional management. David is also our go-to guy for all things productivity and personal knowledge management, and has taken several courses and learned dozens of software tools. In this space, he's also worked with innovative startups like Napkin, where he's also made an angel investment and now serve as a strategic advisor. David got his BA in History from Trinity College.

Why Circa?

In various roles throughout my 30+ year career, I've studied the housing affordability crisis. First while working in government, then as a public equity analyst, and finally as real estate investor. While the magnitude of the problem can be daunting, public and private institutions both have roles to play in keeping people in their homes. As I learned more about Circa, I was inspired by how Circa's solution helps residents as well as owners and managers. That alignment is powerfully motivating. Circa can potentially help millions of people avoid eviction and restore their dignity as they struggle with stretched housing affordability and more volatile incomes.

What’s your favorite part of your home?

I spend as much time as possible on our back porch, enjoying the fresh air. Between the active wildlife, the light, and tidal swings that often exceed 10 feet, the view is constantly changing and endlessly grounding.
